Bye Bye

Here we are at the Sydney International Airport.

Today we are leaving and I am sad to go.

My grandparents have spoiled me rotten and

I will miss everyone heaps.

At least I can look forward to coming back next year.

Go the WALLABIES!

Uncle Steve bought me my first Wallabies outfit.

Now I can cheer for the Aussie Rugby team when I

go back to New York.

First Swim

Daddy, Nanna, Uncle Pete and Zack took

me swimming for the first time.

I wasn't so sure about this.

Nanna kept telling me it was fun.

After I while I liked being in the very big warm bath.

Cousin Zack was showing me his swimming skills.

He is pretty good too.

Uncle Pete thought it was time for my first formal swim lesson.

I don't think I did so well with the floating or kicking.

It was much more fun being thrown in the air by daddy.

Por Por and Goong Goong

Thanks Por Por and Goong Goong for taking me out

to lunch and always feeding me.

Uncle Deff

Daddy put me up on Uncle Deff's shoulders after church.

We both weren't very impressed!

Taronga Zoo

Mummy and Daddy took me to Taronga Zoo for the first time.

We got to see the new baby elephant.

It was very cute.

My favorite part of the day was the Petting Zoo.

I got to touch a sheep.

But then it ran away from me.

I tried calling it to come back.

I also got to touch a lizard. It was very smooth.

Why can't I pull his tail?

Then we saw a goat.

I couldn't quite reach it to pet as my arms weren't

long enough.

Maybe next year when I come back again.

Then we went to the reptile section.

There were some really big snakes there but

I wasn't scared.

I had a great time at the zoo and I can't wait to

visit again soon.

Rodd Point

Here is Nanna with 3 of her grandsons. We are

missing cousin Noah who lives in Belgium.

It was lots of fun playing with my cousins in Sydney.

I love it when Daddy throws me up in the air.

Spot the ball

We went for a walk to Rodd Point today.

Nanna let me hold the ball on the way there.

But I kicked it out of the stroller by accident.

Hanging with Goong Goong

Goong Goong would always take me outside to watch

the birds in the backyard.

I miss my cuddles with him.

Scary ride

This was my first time on a coin operated ride.

I was a little scared when it started to move

but I soon got the hang of it and enjoyed it.

Visiting Pops

This is my Great Granny and Great Grandad who I call Pops.

His name is Jack and I was named after him.

Here they are again with Nanna too.

I had great time hanging out with them and I

miss them all.

Lunch with Lochie

This is my Uncle Len, Aunty Lou and cousin Lochie.

We met them for lunch before we left Sydney and they were

leaving for England.

Nanna took me for a walk around the restaurant but I just

wanted to look at the fruit salad.

Nanna even ordered a bowl for me to eat.

Nanna also let me try ice-cream for the first time.

Picnic at Banjo Patterson Park

Mummy and Daddy organised a picnic with friends at Banjo Patterson Park.

It was a lovely day but I was getting hungry waiting

for everyone to arrive.

I decided to see what Mummy packed for my lunch.

Uncle Steve

Uncle Steve would always let me hang out in his room

after he got back from work.

I tried strawberries for the first time and

My daddy tried to cut my hair again today but after a few snips...

he stopped and told mummy to take me to the hairdresser.

Daddy's Birthday Dinner

Wow, another cake for me.

Putney Park

We went to Putney Park for a picnic on Daddy's birthday.

It had a really cool water play area but

it was too cold to go swimming.

So I just spent the afternoon crawling

around and exploring.

Daddy and I watched the water run between the rocks.

It was lots of fun.

My daddy played with these bricks when he was little

Nanna and I picked some flowers for Granny.

Nanna wanted me to give the whole flower to Granny but

I preferred to give it to her petal by petal.

My First Car

My first car broke down so I had to push it

to the nearest garage.

For some reason Mummy and Daddy

keep trying to get me to drink milk.

I keep running away but I'm

not sure they get the message.

Do you think my Goong Goong loves me?

I realised that whenever I wanted to go outside, or get a better view,

or get a snack. I can always count on Goong Goong

to pick me up on demand.

Kokoda Memorial Track

I spent the day with Nanna and she took me for

a walk at the Kokoda Memorial Track.

I enjoyed the pretty scenery and Nanna knows

a lot about plants.

Where are you?

I was visiting my Uncle Pete and Aunty Kat's place

when my parents decided to shut me in the front room.

They mentioned something about staying out of mischief

but I didn't know who they were referring to.

I was telling mummy that I could see people in the other room

and they were calling out my name.

She didn't believe me.

Fine. I will find my own way out!

My Party

My parents gave me my first birthday party.

We had a BBQ and a yummy cake.

My new car

My daddy made me car out of a tote tray!

It was fun sliding around on the carpet.

The next day was my cousin Stephanie's birthday.

She was born one day after me.

One Year Old!

Today was my 1st birthday. My Por Por made me a yummy cake.

I even got to try whipped cream for the first time.

Everyone was very excited but I didn't know

what all the fuss was about.

My Great Granny

This is my Great Granny. She spoils me rotten.

Goong Goong is so much fun. He even makes playing

Aunty Sue is coming!

coming to visit and then she is coming to

Australia with us too.

Memorial Day

Today was Memorial Day and my

parents took me to Battery City Park.

There was lots to see and do.

It was a beautiful sunny day so

I borrowed Mummy's sunnies.

I better call all my friends and let them know

about this place.

Early Birthday Pressies

My godparents gave me my 1st birthday pressies early

because we are going home to Australia to visit my grandparents.

Two front teeth

Daddy took me to the park to play on the grass again.

After we went to the Tribeca Family Street Fair,

mummy and daddy took me to a bookstore to get some new books.

Hanging with Oscar

After the Botanical Gardens we went to Aunty Melanie

and Uncle Aaron's place for a BBQ.

This is Oscar. He was born around the same time as I was.

I was showing him my turtle toy.

I think he likes my turtle.

We had lots of fun hanging out together.

Thanks Aunty Melanie for letting me play with Oscar.

I think we will be good friends.

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Today we went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

with Godparents and cousins.

Cousin Daniel enjoys looking at the turtles

and all the carp in the pond.

Daddy was carrying me around and showing

me all the beautiful flowers.

We got to see the Cherry Blossoms blooming.

They were quite beautiful.

It was also very sunny so I borrowed

mummy's sunglasses.

Mrs. Lin was playing with me and

even helped me take my first crawl.

Day out with Uncle Chris and Aunty Marisol

We had brunch with Uncle Chris and Aunty Marisol today.

I was quite comfortable lounging in Uncle Chris' arms.

I think he was pointing at my six pack.

I really liked playing with Uncle Chris' wrist thing.

I kept pulling at it but it wouldn't come off.

Then we went to Westside Boardwalk.

I got to play on the grass again.

Central Park

It was such a nice day that mummy took me to Central Park.

It was the first time I got to touch real grass.

The sun was quite bright so I didn't really

want to smile for mummy.

Mummy thought the flowers were quite pretty but

I wasn't too interested in them.

I think cows are pretty cool.

I especially like mummy's cow pillow.

Cold anyone?

Daddy thought I was cold playing in the apartment so

he made me wear a beanie, socks and a puffy vest.

I think it was a little overkill because I couldn't

really move.

I can now stand up on my own when I hold onto something.

This is my first time standing near the play equipment.

It's very high up here on the jungle gym.

Hello my loyal subjects!

Vermont

On the way home from Canada, we stopped in to

visit Anne Marie and Dan in Vermont.

The house was beautiful and much, much,

much bigger than our apartment. There was so much room

to play in and explore.

I also got to spend time with Anne Marie and Dan.

Mummy and Daddy didn't get a good photo of Dan

because he was always busy cooking yummy food for us and

keeping the fire burning. Anne Marie also

baked me yummy scones. YUM!

Can you tell I was having a great time?

Mummy and I didn't ever want to leave.

Montreal Botanical Gardens and Insectarium

We also visited the Botanical Gardens

to see the exhibit called "Butterflies go Free."

Daddy had to keep chasing the butterflies

to get a good photo of them.

They were everywhere!

I was getting worried that they

were getting a little too close.

These butterflies aren't so free.

I thought the spiders were pretty cool.

Rest time

We stayed at different hotels on our trip to Canada and I had a

fun time rolling around the really big beds.

It was also a great place to read some books with daddy.

Snow

I have never seem so much snow and

mummy and daddy let me touch it for the first time.

I was very excited.

Here goes...

Ummm....it just feels very cold

and it won't get off my hand.

Parc Gatineau

Mummy and Daddy decided to go for a hike in the

beautiful Gatineau Park. It was a cold but sunny day

and everything was still covered in snow.

There will be no swimming at the beach today.

Daddy had a hard time carrying me and walking in

the snow but it was all worth it to see the

beautiful scenery.

Waiting for breakfast

Here we are in Canada waiting for our

breakfast to arrive. Daddy and I were enjoying

watching the people walking by the window.

Ottawa

Mummy and Daddy had to come to Canada to renew

their visas. We got to walk around Ottawa and

see lots of stately buildings.

This is the resident raccoon at Parliament Hill.

It was cold in Ottawa so I spent most of the

time bundled up in my stroller.

Going to Work with Daddy Day

Today turned into a 'Go to Work with Daddy Day'

when my babysitter didn't show up.

Uncle Ernesto said I get an album credit for helping

with his new CD.

It's boring when they don't let me play with

all the colorful buttons. I think I'll

take a nap instead.

Yeah, mummy came to take me home.

My daddy was playing bass at a Mardi Gra party

and bought home some beads.

I don't know what they are for but I like the colors.

I haven't really worked out how to fit them through the lid

but I enjoy pulling them out of the container.

They did a great job attaching the handle too.

Getting Big

I am now 8 1/2 months old.

I think this mini crib is getting too small...

because I keep kicking my monkey friend in the face.

Swinging Success

I'm getting used to the swings now.

It's more fun when I'm not holding on so tight.

I really should protest more when daddy 

makes bad wardrobe choices for me.

My Daddy dressed me in blue pants, green shoes and a bear bear outfit.

No wonder nobody came to speak to us.

It was the first warm day in February so mummy and daddy

thought they would take me to the park.

I am not so sure about this swing business.

Stacking Rings

My mummy's co-teacher Eric got me these really cool and colorful stacking rings. My daddy thought he would be creative with them. I think I look pretty good.

Bass Lessons

Sometimes Daddy and I like to wrestle on the bed.

My First Sippy Cup

Today I learnt to use my first sippy cup. 

Mummy and Daddy say I am a big boy now.

Sophie the Giraffe

Recently I have discovered the joys of chewing on Sophie the Giraffe. 

I particularly like the squeaking sound it makes as it rubs on my gums.

Sitting up on my own

I am 7 months old now and I can sit up on my own. 

My mummy and daddy are very proud of me.

I also like to put everything in my 

mouth and chew on it.

My mummy bought me this new bib because

daddy didn't think it was so funny.

Squeaking Sophie

My Uncle Ernesto and Aunty Jenny bought me Sophie.

Since they are both musical I just wanted to thank them

with a squeaky song I wrote.
